Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a Youth Care Worker for NIGHTS at Pompano Youth Academy in Pompano Beach, FL. The role focuses on safe supervision, mentoring, and helping youth engage in activities while maintaining a supportive environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and either 1 year of direct-care experience with at-risk youth or 60 college hours with a valid driver’s license. Shifts are 12 hours, with 4 hours guaranteed overtime per pay period.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker- NIGHTS at Pompano Youth Academy in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Pompano Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate risk female youth aged 13 to 18 who require borderline intellectual functioning, major disorder, intensive mental health, behavioral/mental health and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program.

Pay : Starting at $19 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker- NIGHTS, you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education and possess a Driver’s License.

Schedule: Our Youth Care staff work 12-hour shifts.
