Rite of Passage is hiring a Youth Care Worker for Pompano Youth Academy in Pompano Beach, FL. The role provides 24-hour supervision and supportive care for at-risk female youth in a residential program.

Starting pay is $19/hour with guaranteed overtime; you work 12-hour shifts and have the chance to progress within a long-standing youth development organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience with at-risk youth in direct care or 60 college hours.
• Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document youth behaviors; engage during sports and recreation.

Pompano Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

Pay: Starting at $19 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education and possess a Driver’s License.

Schedule: Our Youth Care staff work 12-hour shifts.
