Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observe and document behavior of youth and staff.
• Prevent abuse of detained youth.
• Explain and reinforce rules with detained youth.
• Explain and enforce facility policies with staff.
• Oversee services related to basic human needs.
• Guide youth and staff regarding behaviors.
• Enforce security procedures to ensure safety.
• Lead development of employee-based decision making.
• Transport detained youth to medical appointments.
• Physically manage youth to prevent injury, as needed.
• Dispense medication and first aid to detained youth, as needed.
• Supervise, evaluate, and discipline employees.
• Work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
