The County of Lancaster is seeking a Supervisory Youth Care Worker to oversee the daily care of detained youth and supervise staff on shift, guiding behavior and ensuring safety and compliance with facility policies.

Reporting to the Director, the role includes evaluating Youth Care Workers, coordinating weekend and holiday coverage, and upholding confidentiality while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Formación

• Age 21+ as per PA Code 3800-55h.
• Must have and maintain 60 college credits.

Responsabilidades

• Observe and document behavior of youth and staff.
• Prevent abuse of detained youth.
• Explain and reinforce rules with detained youth.
• Explain and enforce facility policies with staff.
• Oversee basic human services delivery.
• Interact with detained youth and staff to guide behavior.
• Lead development of employee-based decision making.
• Transport detained youth to medical appointments.
• Physically manage detained youth when needed.
• Discipline and supervise Youth Care Workers as directed.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
