Lancaster County is hiring a Youth Care Worker to provide direct daily care and supervision for youth detained in the facility. You will support positive interactions and monitor behavior in a secure environment, following established rules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include observing youths, documenting behavior, preventing abuse, facilitating basic services, and assisting with admissions. Weekend, holiday, and flexible shifts may be required as part of a dedicated team.

Aufgaben

• Observe and document behavior of detained youth.
• Prevent abuse of detained youth (physical, sexual, emotional).
• Explain and reinforce rules of operation to detained youth.
• Prepare and deliver services related to basic human needs.
• Ensure community safety by following security procedures.
• Interact with youth to guide individual and group behaviors.
• Meet, greet, and search detained youth during admissions.
• Physically manage youths to prevent injury when needed.
• Transport youths to court and medical appointments.
• Monitor residents during off-site programming events.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
