Job summary

AMIkids is seeking a Youth Care Specialist Supervisor to lead and supervise Youth Care Specialists, develop performance plans, and manage scheduling and recruiting efforts. The role ensures safe, compliant operations under contract requirements and applicable laws, while mentoring staff and guiding youth through programs and activities.

The position emphasizes safety, correct use of behavior management, and coordination of clinical and educational activities.

Qualifications

• Six consecutive months experience in a supervisory role.
• Minimum one year experience working with youth, preferably in juvenile justice.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members and youth to ensure safety and security per policies.
• Assist with work schedules and maintain required coverage.
• Provide timely performance feedback and complete evaluations.
• Instruct youth in care of facility, supervise safety of property and equipment.
• Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth and staff.
• Communicate information to team; use behavior modification for youth as needed.
• May dispense medication and conduct first aid/CPR during emergencies.
• Attend training, maintain licenses, and operate institute vehicles as required.
• Transport youth when needed and participate in special projects.
