AMIkids is seeking a Youth Care Specialist to supervise and guide youth in our care, teaching social, self-help, academic, and living skills. The role emphasizes safety, positive role modeling, and proactive intervention in conflicts.

The position includes overnight supervision duties, documentation, and collaboration with staff to ensure compliance with all regulations and program standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• One year of related experience in education or youth services, preferably with troubled youth.
• CPR and First Aid certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise youth safely according to requirements.
• Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth.
• Intervene in altercations using state mandated methods.
• Provide redirection and coaching through Behavior Modification System.
• Teach youth personal responsibility, social, and living skills.
• Oversee overnight supervision, bed checks, and shift documentation.
• Communicate with management and team; complete incident and behavioral reports.
• Maintain equipment, logs, and inventory; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
