Job summary

AMIkids Acadiana is seeking a Youth Care Specialist Supervisor to provide leadership and supervision of Youth Care Specialists, including development and performance management of direct reports, scheduling, and recruitment participation. The role ensures safe and secure program operations in compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Six consecutive months experience in a supervisory role required.
• Minimum one year experience working with youth; preferably within the Juvenile Justice System.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members and youth to ensure safety and security per policies.
• Assist with development of work schedules to maintain required ratios.
• Provide timely performance feedback and coaching to direct reports; complete evaluations.
• Instruct youth in general care of facility and equipment; supervise safe handling of property.
• Lead and participate in activities across campus and off-campus, including programs.
• Serve as advisor and role model and communicate with team members.
• Use Behavior Modification System for redirection and coaching of youth.
• May dispense medication and administer first aid/CPR during emergencies.
• Attend crisis intervention and training, participate in meetings and reviews.
• Transport youth and support on-site tasks as needed.
