Residing Hope in Florida seeks a Youth Care Specialist II to support children in therapeutic respite programs, ensuring safety, growth, and a positive cottage atmosphere. The role includes supervision, transportation coordination, meal preparation, and health-related duties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years in child welfare; mental health/behavioral technician experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 2–4 years in child welfare preferred.
• Experience as a mental health/behavioral technician or psychiatric aide preferred.
• Experience in respite/short-term care or therapeutic group care preferred.
• Must obtain required trainings within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Constant visual and audial supervision of youth on shift.
• Foster growth and positive milieu in the cottage.
• Coordinate transportation for youth to events and appointments.
• Prepare meals per approved menus and maintain records.
• Document daily progress notes and incident reports.
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain documentation.
• Implement behavioral interventions per treatment plans.
