Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise youth care workers and ensure safety for clients in a Houston shelter environment. You will coordinate activities, conduct meetings, and provide evaluative input to staff while supporting program procedures and quality improvement.

The role requires at least 1 year in child welfare, leadership experience, a HS diploma or GED, bilingual Spanish/English, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in child welfare field with children/adolescents.
• 1 year in a leadership role required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to youth care workers to ensure client safety.
• Coordinate activities and problem-solve under supervision.
• Document activities and maintain accurate reports and databases.
• Supervise night shift, ensure client supervision and transportation as needed.
• Maintain security, assist with safety checks and program procedures.
