Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Lead Youth Care Specialist to provide direct youth care, behavior support, and on-shift leadership. You will model trauma-informed practices, supervise frontline staff, and ensure high-quality supervision and daily routines on the floor.

You will coordinate care plans with the clinical team, document accurately, administer medications per protocols, and respond to incidents with de-escalation strategies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of direct care experience required; TBRI experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license and willingness to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff assignments, transportation needs, and youth supervision.
• Ensure routines, treatment guidelines, and care plans are followed.
• Monitor environment to remain welcoming, safe, and trauma-informed.
• Lead shift change meetings in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
• Communicate safety updates to the Shift Supervisor promptly.
• Assist with program paperwork and documentation.
• Administer medications per agency protocols and logs.
• Ensure compliance with DFPS standards and licensing requirements.
