Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Lead Youth Care Specialist to provide direct youth care, behavior support, and on-shift leadership. The role models best practices, coordinates staff, and ensures high-quality supervision during the shift on the floor with youth.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of direct care experience, and a Texas driver’s license. TBRI experience is preferred to support trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred.
• One year of direct care experience required.
• One year experience in TBRI or similar care models preferred.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and be willing to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift point person, coordinating staff assignments, transportation needs and youth supervision.
• Monitor and ensure daily routines, treatment guidelines, and care plans are followed.
• Maintain a trauma-informed, welcoming environment and lead shift change meetings in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
• Complete required program paperwork and documentation; administer medications per agency protocols.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to support youth goals and care plans.
• Represent the agency professionally in interactions with volunteers, caseworkers, clinicians, medical staff and families.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (preferred)
