Job summary

Pine Tree Camps at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a camp counselor to supervise groups of campers and staff during the 9-week season. You will organize activities, enforce health and safety rules, and lead field trips while fostering a positive, inclusive environment.

Candidates must be 25+, with prior camp or school childcare experience, and available May 24, 2027 to July 30, 2027, for 35–40 hours per week. Training will precede the camp term.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 25 years old.
• Must have experience caring for children in a camp or school setting.
• Available for all 9 weeks of camp plus training; 5/24/2027 – 7/30/2027; 35–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 6–10 groups of campers and counselors.
• Organize and monitor large group activities.
• Interpret safety and health regulations for the division.
• Recognize and respond to opportunities for problem-solving in the division.
• Develop opportunities for interaction between campers and staff.
• Provide opportunities for the group so that each camper experiences success.
• Set a good example for campers and counselors, including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing cleanup, and sportsmanship.
• Lead on and off campus field trips.
• Report concerns to supervisor.
• Follow camp rules regarding smoking, alcohol, and drugs.
