Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Maintenance II to perform routine upkeep of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment at the Youth Camp. The role reports to the Camp Director and offers overtime eligibility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a Florida Class B CDL with passenger endorsement. Prior maintenance experience is considered, with a focus on safety, reliability, and service to the youth programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Florida Class B with passenger endorsement license required.
• Prior maintenance experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment to keep them attractive and functional.
• Identifies maintenance needs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair and acts on them.
• Keeps Aquatic Facility Operators license current and maintains required records and reports.
• Maintains grounds: mowing, trimming, cleaning walkways, weeding, and keeping facilities orderly.
• Completes paperwork for vehicle reports and inspections in a timely, accurate manner.
• Organizes tools and inventory to promote a clean, efficient work environment.
• Demonstrates discretion and a positive role model attitude while interacting with youth and staff.
• Requests supplies and materials as needed, coordinating with the Camp Director on purchases.
