Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Maintenance II to manage routine upkeep of facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment at the Youth Camp. You report to the Camp Director and may be eligible for overtime pay. A valid Florida Class B CDL with passenger endorsement is required.

The role demands high school completion, plus maintenance experience or willingness to learn, and strict adherence to safety and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Florida Class B license with passenger endorsement.
• Background screening per FDLE Care Provider requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds to ensure safety and functionality.
• Prioritize tasks for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs.
• Maintain Aquatic Facility Operators license and related records.
• Keep grounds tidy: mow, trim hedges, clean walkways, weed beds.
• Complete paperwork on vehicle reports and inspections promptly.
• Organize tools and inventory for efficient workflow.
• Model virtue and maintain appropriate behavior for youth programs.
• Request and track supplies, and coordinate with Camp Director on projects.
