Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of Operations for Corporate & Continuing Education, the Youth Camp Lead will plan and lead camp activities with support from Youth Camp Assistants. This is a non-permanent, hourly position.

Responsibilities

1. Lead four one-week youth camp sessions for 6th to 9th-grade students.
2. Direct planned activities and collaborate with instructors to set up and lead activities.
3. Coordinate with industry contacts for company tours and arrange transportation.
4. Communicate with students and parents regarding logistics.
5. Ensure campers' safety.
6. Supervise and assign duties to support staff.
7. Ensure activities are interactive, educational, and engaging.
8. Model professionalism and mutual respect.
9. Comply with policies, regulations, and directives.
10. Support Spokane Colleges’ strategic plan and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be 18 years of age.
2. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3. Experience in planning and leading youth activities.
4. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
