We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAD Technician/Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be a key player in transforming initial rough product designs into working documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role demands an individual who is detail-oriented, innovative, and proficient in using the latest design tools and technology. You will be involved in a variety of exciting projects, working closely with our team of engineers and architects to ensure the accuracy and quality of our designs.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of complex engineering drawings and plans using CAD software, primarily focusing on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, HVAC design, and building design.
  • Conversion of preliminary designs, sketches, and sectional research into fully fledged layouts and plans.
  • Creation and modification of detailed 3D models using Revit.
  • Development of schematic diagrams and detailed layouts for projects, ensuring all designs meet required standards and project specifications.
  • Collaboration with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and transform them into practical designs.
  • Conducting regular design reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Utilizing Excel to track project progress, manage resources, and perform calculations as necessary.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the latest CAD technology, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician/Designer in the engineering industry.
  • Proficient in using CAD software, especially in creating detailed MEP, HVAC, and building designs.
  • Extensive experience with Revit for creating and modifying 3D models.
  • Solid understanding of drafting techniques and engineering principles.
  • Experience in developing layouts, plans, and schematics for complex engineering projects.
  • Proficient in using Excel for tracking project progress, managing resources, and performing calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in CAD or a related field is an advantage.
