Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to provide intensive, individualized mental health interventions for children and adolescents in community settings.

You will work under a Qualified Mental Health Professional to implement treatment goals within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Position requires at least a high school diploma or 40+ hours of training, with possible BCE/BHT/RBT certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 40+ hours of training or relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience delivering behavioral health services.
• Behavioral Health Certification, Behavior Analysis Certification, or RBT certification.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance are required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, individualized mental health interventions and support to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families in community settings.
• Work under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional as part of an interdisciplinary team to implement treatment goals.
• Deliver services in homes, schools, camps, daycares and other community environments to support functioning in least restrictive settings.
• Travel throughout the community to homes and schools to deliver care as needed.
