Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide intense, individualized mental health interventions in community-based settings for children and adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses.

The position involves working in the Mifflin and Juniata area with supervision by a Qualified Mental Health Professional. The BHT will participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team, implement treatment goals, and aim to enable clients to function at their best in the least

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services.
• Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an accredited organization.
• Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT).
• RBT 40-hour training course will be required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience using an electronic health record system is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Supervised by a Qualified Mental Health Professional and participates as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Implements specific treatment goals and sound clinical interventions in home, school, and community settings.
• Helps children/adolescents function in the least restrictive setting while supporting families.
