Job summary

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center in Springfield, IL seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with assessments, record vital signs, and maintain accurate health records in a therapeutic environment.

The role includes leading group sessions, conducting crisis intervention, and performing regular observation rounds to ensure safety and a supportive milieu for youth with behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; BA/BS preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with behavioral health patients is strongly preferred.
• CPR certification and aggression management training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Record patient vital signs and assist with head-to-toe assessments.
• Maintain patient health data and proper clinical documentation.
• Run therapeutic group sessions and crisis intervention when needed.
• Perform Q15 observation rounds while ensuring a safe milieu.
