Job summary

The J is seeking a Manager, Sports & Recreation (Youth Baseball and Softball) to supervise all baseball/softball programs, staff, and operations. The role focuses on program growth, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring safety and youth protection compliance.

Reporting to the Director of Sports & Recreation, you’ll lead seasonal staff, coordinate leagues and clinics, and partner with Marketing to boost registrations while optimizing resources.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience as Director, Supervisor or Manager of a Sports and Recreation program or department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Sports Administration, Business Administration, or relatable field.
• Background and experience in baseball and/or softball as a coach or administrator is preferred.
• Entrepreneurial approach to running a Sports and Recreation facility/program: ownership mindset and growth focus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all baseball and softball leagues, including field assignments, game scheduling, and standings.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and supervision of part-time and seasonal staff.
• Develop budgets and manage revenues to ensure fiscal sustainability.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote registrations and program updates.
• Ensure compliance with youth protection policies and safety standards.
