Job summary

The J is seeking a Manager, Sports and Recreation (Youth Baseball and Softball) to lead day-to-day operations for youth programs, including scheduling, staffing, and communications. You will drive program growth, fiscal sustainability, and safe, engaging experiences for players and families.

Responsibilities include league administration, field readiness, and staff supervision while partnering with departments to promote participation and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two+ years managing a Sports and Recreation program or department.
• Experience in baseball/softball coaching or administration preferred.
• Entrepreneurial approach with ownership of program success; data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all baseball and softball leagues, including field assignments and scheduling.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate part-time and seasonal staff and umpires.
• Develop and manage budgets; maximize revenue opportunities and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to promote registration and program updates.
• Ensure compliance with youth protection policies, health and safety standards, and procedures.
• Plan league programming, special events, clinics, and community partnerships.
