Job summary

Urban League of Nebraska in Omaha is seeking a Youth Attendance Navigator to support students at risk of chronic absenteeism by partnering with families, school staff, and community partners. You will identify barriers, develop personalized plans, and track attendance using internal systems, while maintaining confidentiality and equity.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel between school sites and community locations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth and families.
• Experience in diverse and under-resourced communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and build trusting relationships with students experiencing chronic absenteeism.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff to monitor attendance trends and identify students needing support.
• Provide case management, develop action plans, and connect youth/families to resources.
• Maintain daily data entry of case notes and progress.
• Deliver workshops on attendance, time management, and goal setting.
• Attend meetings to advocate for student needs and coordinate with community partners.
