Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 1+ year direct experience delivering athletics/fitness or recreation for youth.
• Knowledge of fitness trends and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Ability to multi-task and stay flexible with schedules.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse youth and families.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: coaching experience, MS Office and web skills, bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a variety of athletics programs, activities, and events.
• Support volunteers and staff who provide instruction and guidance to members.
• Help supervise and discipline members in programs and clubhouse as appropriate.
• Complete BGCB program activity standards as assigned.
• Participate in program year evaluations and member surveys.
• Maintain a safe and clean program area, enforcing safety rules and procedures.
• Collaborate with staff across clubhouses and partner organizations as appropriate.
