Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston is seeking a Program Generalist to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs across club areas. This full-time role reports to the Program Director and supports operations while creating a safe, engaging learning environment for youth.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of youth programming experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong communication skills to work with youths and families from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of experience providing recreation, enrichment, education, or youth development programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to youth learning and development principles.
• Ability to engage and instruct youth in a variety of program settings.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified and have strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work clubhouse hours and travel between sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs, activities, and events as directed.
• Instruct youth and apply conflict-resolution and group-management practices.
• Maintain safe, organized program areas and participate in program evaluations.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and deliver development opportunities for youth.
• Support operations and participate in field trips and cross-site programs.
