Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1-year direct experience providing athletics/fitness or recreation programs for youth.
• Knowledge of trends in fitness and youth athletic activities.
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• Must be or become CPR/First Aid certified.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with youth and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work clubhouse hours with seasonal variations.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of athletics programs, activities, and events as directed.
• Assist volunteers and consultants providing related instruction and guidance.
• Supervise and discipline members as appropriate within programs and clubs.
• Complete BGCB program activity standards as assigned.
• Participate in program year evaluations, including member surveys.
• Maintain a safe and clean program area.
• Know safety emergency procedures and enforce rules to ensure youth safety.
