Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Temporary Peer Co-Facilitator to act as a Credible Messenger for the LYRIC program, engaging 12-18 year olds in artivism and civic action across Central and North Brooklyn.

You will supervise participants, document weekly progress, and collaborate with community leaders to co-develop living curricula and action calls. Strong MS Office/Google skills and youth mentorship are essential.

Qualifications

• High school/HSE diploma required.
• Peer/Credible Messenger certification preferred (eg. CRPA, NYSPA, YPA, FPA).
• Two years’ experience working with youth and young adults.
• Preference given to those with lived experience of substance use or related systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervising program participants at all times during program operation, in all locations where the program operates, including off-site trips.
• Submit sufficient documentation in a timely manner on a weekly basis.
• Refer participants for support services internally or externally for appropriate services.
• Participate in regular internal meetings.
• Collaborate and network with community leaders to engage youth and families in decision making.
• Co-develop and co-facilitate living artivism curriculum addressing root causes of system involvement.
