Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership seeks a Temporary Peer Co-Facilitator to serve as a Credible Messenger with The Brooklyn W.A.Y. Coalition for LYRIC, engaging 12–18 year olds in Central and North Brooklyn.

The role focuses on artivism, living curriculum, and outreach to reduce risk factors and strengthen protective factors within the community. You will co-facilitate curricula, network with community leaders, supervise participants during activities, document progress weekly, and refer youth to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Peer/Credible Messenger certification preferred (CRPA/NYSPA/YPA/FPA etc).
• Two years of experience working with youth and young adults.
• Preference for lived experience with substance use or criminal justice involvement.
• Ability to mentor 12-18 year-olds; commitment to positive youth development.
• Flexible schedule including occasional weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervising program participants during activities and trips.
• Submit documentation weekly and maintain program records.
• Refer participants to internal or external support services.
• Participate in regular meetings and coordinate with partners.
• Co-develop and co-facilitate living artivism curriculum.
• Engage community leaders to promote youth engagement and policy input.
