California Health Collaborative seeks a part-time Youth Coordinator for the San Bernardino County Tobacco Control Program. The role supports planning, implementation and evaluation, and focuses on developing a Youth Advisory Board with youth advocates county-wide.

This temporary, non-exempt position requires a hybrid schedule with at least two in-office days per week; additional days may be required for events and program needs.

Competenze

• Completion of college coursework in public health, health education, community health, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience working with youth and community-based programs may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.
• Moderate noise levels are preferred to focus on the job at hand.
• Physical demands will include sitting, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, driving and walking.

Mansioni

• Plan and coordinate program activities with the Program Manager.
• Support tobacco prevention education and outreach across San Bernardino County.
• Develop work plans to direct program activities toward goals and objectives.
• Perform ongoing process and outcome evaluations under PM direction.
• Facilitate Youth Advisory Board meetings, trainings, and presentations.
• Assist in proposals and funding applications, and engage youth in policy campaigns.
• Coordinate youth engagement in regional and statewide tobacco control training.
• Provide updates to the Tobacco Control Coalition and other community coalitions.
• Help establish a public health pipeline with local colleges and universities.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
