Job summary

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors is seeking a paid Legislative Intern/ Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Coordinator in Riverside County. The in-person internship is approximately 20 hours per week, with academic schedule flexibility, and is anticipated to last two years.

The intern will support the County Youth Commission by managing a district-based YAC, coordinating civic engagement events, and assisting with legislative, outreach, and youth development activities.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Must be enrolled as a student in a bachelor’s or master’s program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate YAC meetings; prepare agendas and minutes.
• Coordinate Youth in Government Day and Youth Summit participation.
• Recruit and onboard student members.
• Track attendance and service hours.
• Communicate with schools and families.
• Act as liaison between youth leaders and County leadership.
