Job summary

3D Glass Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Yield Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to identify defects and process variations limiting die yield in our wafer fab.

You will convert inline test and sort data into root causes and corrective actions to raise output and lower costs per good die, collaborating across process, integration, equipment and test engineering. You will own yield metrics, run analyses, perform DOE studies and drive corrective actions with owners, while building reproducible yield models

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field as listed.
• Strong statistical methods including SPC, DOE, hypothesis testing, regression.
• Demonstrated problem solving, e.g., 8D or 5 Why's.
• Clear communication of findings to engineers and management.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Own yield for assigned products or technologies and track yield vs targets.
• Analyze wafer sort maps, spatial signatures and parametric data to isolate yield detractors.
• Correlate electrical failures to inline inspection data using commonality analysis.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions with process/equipment owners.
• Define defect inspection and sampling plans; classify defects and set density limits.
• Run split lots and DOEs to verify fixes and quantify yield gains.
• Build and maintain yield models and Pareto charts to guide improvements.
• Automate reports/dashboards using SQL, Python or yield software.
• Present yield status and roadmaps to fab and product leadership.
