Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Deviation & Yield Tail Yield Analysis Engineer to identify and resolve yield loss mechanisms in high-volume manufacturing.

You will use advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, and model-based problem solving to drive sustainable yield improvements across wafer lots, dies, and parametric data. The role entails leading investigations, correlating electrical and inspection data, and partnering with multiple teams to implement preventive actions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field and 10+ years in semiconductors.
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor physics, transistor operation, scaling limits and reliability.
• Experience performing data-driven yield analysis and root cause investigations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor probe yield performance to identify yield deviations and yield-tail losses.
• Lead MBPS and root cause investigations using hypothesis-driven problem solving and statistics.
• Drive defect characterization by correlating electrical signatures and FA/PFA findings.
• Collaborate with Process Integration, Manufacturing, QA to implement corrective actions.

Education

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline

10+ years semiconductor industry experience

10+ years semiconductor physics and CMOS characterization methods

Experience with data analysis using JMP or Python
