Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Yield Enhancement Engineer to reduce defects and improve yields in a state-of-the-art fab in Phoenix. The role focuses on defect analysis, inline inspection, and collaboration with process integration to drive improvements across N4/N3/N2 manufacturing lines.

The candidate will own defect source identification, apply SPC, design experiments, and help deploy inline metrology tools in a 24/7 high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science.
• Experience with bright field, darkfield and Ebeam defect metrology tools.
• Inline usage of defect metrology tools to monitor/detect tool shifts in a high-volume 24/7 fab.
• Strong collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.
• Able to take ownership and drive timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Identify yield-limiting defect sources and define a defect reduction roadmap.
• Apply SPC principles to sustain production health and prevent excursions; design experiments.
• Install, qualify and sustain inline inspection/reviewing equipment for defect detection.
• Collaborate with integration and process teams to mitigate gaps and drive continuous improvement.
