About Yelp

Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you'll work directly with local businesses to help them achieve their goals through Yelp's advertising programs. You'll contact small business owners via phone to understand their needs and tailor sales pitches accordingly. Success is measured by meeting and exceeding sales goals, maintaining daily metrics, and handling rejection positively. This role offers a supportive virtual environment with flexible remote work options.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to educate and sell Yelp advertising solutions to local businesses.
  • Manage a client pipeline with organized records in Salesforce.
  • Work from home with a set schedule, avoiding commutes.
  • Become proficient in Yelp's advertising products and adapt pitches to client needs.
  • Achieve and surpass monthly sales targets through persistence and effective time management.

Requirements

  • GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years customer-facing experience OR Bachelor's Degree.
  • No fear of making phone calls.
  • Proficient with computers and email; experience with Google Suite and Mac preferred.
  • Distraction-free work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Legal right to work in the US.
Training and Development

  • Two-month comprehensive initial training with ongoing career development.
  • Learn sales techniques, CRM tools, and internet advertising industry insights.
  • Pathway for career growth with potential increases in compensation and responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits

  • First-year earnings: $50k-$65k including base and incentives.
  • Year 2 target earnings: $70k, top performers earn ~$112k.
  • Base salary starts at $37k plus uncapped commissions.
  • Full benefits from day one: medical, dental, vision, PTO, parental leave, wellness programs, retirement plans, and stock options.
