As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you'll be working directly with these local businesses to help them achieve their goals through Yelp's advertising programs. You'll contact small business owners via phone to understand their needs and tailor sales approaches to help them grow. Success is measured by meeting and exceeding sales goals, managing daily metrics, and handling rejection positively. This role offers a supportive virtual team environment with flexible remote work.

What You'll Do
  1. Educate, strategize, and sell Yelp advertising programs through high-volume outbound calls — this is a 100% phone-based role.
  2. Reach as many businesses as possible, working scheduled hours (e.g., 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.).
  3. Manage a pipeline of clients across various industries using CRM (Salesforce).
  4. Work remotely from home, selling advertising to local businesses on a set weekday schedule.
  5. Become an expert in Yelp's advertising solutions, adapt recommendations to client needs, and handle objections effectively.
  6. Achieve and surpass monthly sales targets through strong work ethic and persistence.
  7. Stay organized and manage your time to meet daily goals, understanding that sales involve a numbers game.

  • Proficiency with tools like Google Suite and Salesforce.

Requirements
  • GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years customer-facing experience OR Bachelor's Degree.
  • No fear of using the phone.
  • Proficiency with computers and email; familiarity with Google Suite and MacBooks.
  • Distraction-free work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Legal US work authorization.
Training and Development
  • Two-month comprehensive training plus ongoing career development through the Yelp Sales Development Program.
  • Learn communication and sales techniques, CRM usage, and internet advertising for SMBs.
  • Progression opportunities with increased compensation, titles, and responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
  • First-year earnings: $50k-$65k plus uncapped incentives.
  • Year 2 on-target earnings: $70k; top performers average $112k.
  • Starting base salary: $37k plus commission.
  • Full benefits from day one, including health, dental, vision, PTO, parental leave, wellness reimbursements, savings plans, and stock options.
