About Yelp

Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you'll work directly with these local businesses to help them achieve their goals through Yelp's advertising programs. You'll contact small business owners via phone to understand their needs and tailor sales approaches accordingly. Our success is measured by your ability to meet and exceed sales goals, maintain daily metrics, and handle rejection positively.

What You'll Do
  1. Educate, strategize, and sell Yelp advertising programs through outbound calls—this role is 100% phone-based.
  2. Reach as many businesses as possible, working one of the following schedules (in your local time): 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  3. Manage a pipeline of clients across various industries using Salesforce CRM.
  4. Work remotely from home on a set Monday to Friday schedule.
  5. Become an expert in Yelp's advertising solutions, adapt product recommendations, and overcome customer objections.
  6. Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets with a strong work ethic and persistence.
  7. Stay organized and manage your time effectively to meet daily goals.
What We're Looking For in You
  1. Strong desire to learn and improve, with resilience to rejection.
  2. Ability to multitask across multiple tabs and tools.
  3. Familiarity with tools like Google Suite and Salesforce.
  4. Curiosity and proactive questioning skills.
  5. Comfortable working with a remote team and engaging in virtual communication.

  7. Persuasive, assertive, and persistent with a passion for helping local businesses.

Requirements
  1. GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years customer-facing experience OR Bachelor's Degree.
  2. No fear of phone-based sales.
  3. Proficient with computers and email (Google Suite, Macbook provided).
  4. Distraction-free work environment.
  5. Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  6. Legal US work authorization.
Training and Development
  1. Two-month initial training plus ongoing career development through the Yelp Sales Development Program.
  2. Learn communication and sales techniques, CRM tools, and internet advertising for SMBs.
  3. Path for professional growth with opportunities for increased compensation, titles, and responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
  1. First-year earnings range from $50k-$65k, including base salary and incentives.
  2. Year 2 target earnings around $70k, top performers averaging $112k.
  3. Starting base salary of $37k plus uncapped commissions.
  4. Full medical, vision, dental coverage from day one.
  5. 15 days PTO, increasing after 2 years, plus wellness days, holidays, and floating holidays.
  6. Up to 14 weeks parental leave.
