Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will interview clients to understand financial situations, offer personalized recommendations, and build lasting relationships through empathetic, consultative service.

You will also provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed within a local Block Advisors office. The role emphasizes tax expertise, client collaboration, and leveraging Block’s training and technology

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
Build year-round client relationships with empathetic, consultative service.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive office environment.
