Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, including complex cases. You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications, then provide clear, personalized recommendations.

You will build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and Block Advisor products and services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns.
• Experience working in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
