Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks motivated graduate students for a year-round internship focused on engineering design, component science, and product testing. You will apply mechanical, electrical, and software skills to real mission-related deliverables and collaborate with ND&S teams on data analysis and testing.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited science/engineering/math graduate program, a 3.0 GPA, and the ability to work up to 30 hours/week during the academic year plus 40

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree or higher in a science, engineering, or math field.
• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and ability to work up to 30 hours/week (academic year) and 40 hours/week (summer).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test advanced materials as part of component science and production.
• Collaborate with design and assurance teams to collect and analyze data.
• Support system development through code refresh and full-stack programming.
• Assist in testing and optimization of circuits, chips, and other electronics.
• Support telemetry development from concept to prototype and production transition.
