Job summary

Sawmill Creek Resort in Sandusky, OH, is seeking a Year-Round Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest service at check-in and check-out. You will greet guests, answer questions, collect payments, and help sell tickets to Cedar Point and add-ons.

You will learn and use the Opera property management system, maintain guest information securely, and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Our perks include training, uniforms, free admission, and employee events.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused guest service experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain privacy and security of guest information.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out, process payments, and upsell tickets and add-ons.
• Answer guest questions in person and over the phone.
• Maintain accuracy of guest information and payments in the PMS.
• Collaborate with Front Office Manager and other shifts to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to maintain guest information, including credit card information, in a secure and confidential manner.
• Ability to check guests into and out of the hotel, sell tickets, and answer guest questions.
• Ability to solve guest related concerns in a positive and professional manner.
  Maintain open communication with other shifts and the Front Office Manager.
• Provide guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and perform all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety Guidelines.
• Meet Cedar Fair's attendance requirements.
  Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Charismatic attitude
• Ability to learn and use the hotel Property Management System (Opera)
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Comany Policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older
