Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed/will complete the district mentor training.
• Minimum of three years successful teaching experience in the district.
• Earned a rating of at least proficient on most recent educator evaluation.
• Shows knowledge about content-area, the Educator Evaluation System, and resources in the school district.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to a new teacher through regularly scheduled meetings and informal contacts.
• Meet with mentee formally for 18 hours throughout the school year.
• Attend the new teacher orientation.
