Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking mentors for the Beginning Teacher Mentorship program. Mentors will work with beginning teachers, with priority given to those teaching same subject and grade level, and with experienced mentors trained by WV Center for Professional Development.

The program lasts a year, with mentor assignments made semester to semester; compensation is $300 per mentor per semester, and mentors must complete the WV DOE mentor course before the end of the mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must have completed WV Center for Professional Development mentor training.
• Preference for teachers mentoring same subject and grade level.
• Preference for Master Mentor Teacher Advanced Credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship to beginning teachers according to the program guidelines.
• participate in semester-to-semester mentor assignments during the year-long mentorship.
