Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yardspotter to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist preparing trailers for shipping. You will monitor loads, secure lines, and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.

A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential. The role involves driving yard trucks, positioning trailers, inspecting loads, and following trucking regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No Class A CDL required.
• Accident-free driving record for past three years desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Understand equipment ID numbering system.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor or yard truck to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Spot and position trailers at doors or lot locations.
• Fuel tractor/trailer and wash equipment as needed.
• Back LTL or drop trailers into designated doors.
• Inspect loaded trailers for security and refrigeration function; report issues.
• Operate a tractor-trailer within yard and on company premises.
