Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yard Driver to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist with trailer preparation for shipping while monitoring loaded units.

You will drive tractor-trailers within the yard, inspect trailers for defects and refrigeration function, and report issues to Operations. This full-time role offers an evening shift, generous benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years related driving experience preferred.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• CDL Class A license required.
• Accident-free driving record for past 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor, maneuver into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Inspect and spot trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Inspect trailers for defects and submit inspection report.
• Check loaded trailers to ensure product safety and refrigeration unit functioning; report issues.
• Drive within yard and nearby roads following regulations and company rules.
• Possess ability to load/unload and deliver all products as ordered by customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
