Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yardspotter to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist with preparing trailers for shipment. You will ensure lines are secure, spot trailers, and monitor refrigeration units, reading labels and following safety rules.

The role requires operating yard tractors, inspecting equipment, and complying with driving regulations. The shift runs from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM with benefits beginning after 60 days, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No Class A CDL required.
• Accident-free driving record for past 3 years desired.
• Able to read and comprehend detailed instructions.
• Able to read equipment IDs and labels.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor or yard truck and attach trailers; secure lines.
• Spot and position trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Fuel tractor or trailer and wash equipment as needed.
• Back LTL or drop trailers into designated receiving doors.
• Inspect loaded trailers and refrigeration unit for proper operation; report issues.
• Operate within yard and road regulations; maneuver safely.
