Job summary

McLane is seeking a Yardspotter in Goodyear, AZ to support trailer movement at our distribution center and assist with preparing trailers for shipping. You will monitor trailer status, ensure secure loads, and support efficient yard operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include driving yard equipment, inspecting trailers, fueling and basic maintenance, and performing loading/unloading tasks as needed. A High School Diploma is preferred and no CDL is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No Class A CDL required.
• Accident-free driving record desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Understanding equipment ID numbering system.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor or yard truck, attach trailer, and secure lines.
• Clean and spot trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Fuel tractor or trailer, and wash equipment as needed.
• Inspect trailers for defects.
• Back LTL or drop trailers into designated receiving doors.
• Inspect loaded trailers for secure product and working refrigeration; report issues.
• Operate within yard/mroad regulations and maneuver equipment.
• Read labels, instructions and bill of lading; assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Perform basic quantity calculations for product.
• Other duties as assigned.
