McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Yardspotter in Alabama for the DC Dothan location. The role involves moving trailers, securing lines, and prepping trailers for shipping on a 2nd shift from 8 PM to 4:30 AM.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and an accident-free driving record. CDL is not required, and safety rules, English literacy, and attendance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No Class A CDL required.
• Accident-free driving record for past 3 years desired.
• Read and comprehend written instructions.
• Understand equipment ID numbering system.
• Able to lift, bend, reach and stand for long periods.
• Follow safety rules and attendance standards.
• Read, write and understand English at workplace level.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor/yard truck to attach trailers and secure lines.
• Clean and spot trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Fuel tractors or trailers and wash equipment when needed.
• Inspect trailers for defects.
• Back LTL or drop trailers into receiving doors.
• Check loads for product security and functioning refrigeration.
• Operate within yard and on company premises following regulations.
• Read labels and bill of lading; perform quantity calculations.
