Railserve is hiring a dependable Yardmaster in Brandenburg to coordinate daily rail switching and loading operations. You will ensure railcars are moved safely, documented, and scheduled to meet customer requirements.

The role combines hands-on operational oversight with administrative duties in a fast-paced rail yard. Candidates should be safety-focused and able to work rotating day/night shifts outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years administrative, logistics, industrial, or transportation experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a rail yard.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily rail switching and loading operations.
• Maintain train logs and track railcar status.
• Distribute loading and movement instructions via radio.
• Document track lists, inspections, and bills of lading.
• Support customer communication and reporting duties.
• Occasionally inspect railcars and equipment outdoors.
