Qualifications

  • Proficiency in welding processes, especially in vertical and overhead positions.
  • Knowledge of electrical construction equipment.
  • Experience with construction equipment repair and hardfacing.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Weld materials according to blueprint specifications.
  • Inspect structures or materials to be welded and maintain equipment.

Skills

Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW - vertical/overhead position welding
Hardfacing experience
Oxy/Acetylene torch proficiency
Knowledge of Electrical Construction Equipment
Machine tool experience – manual lathe/mill

Education

High School Diploma or GED

What You'll Do

Summary: The Yard Welder will perform repairs to equipment, fabricate from ground up, or alter existing equipment for job specific needs. Employee should keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and always maintain a clean work area. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
  • Calculate and measure the dimensions of parts to be welded.
  • Inspect structures or materials to be welded.
  • Weld materials according to blueprint specifications.
  • Monitor the welding process and adjust heat as necessary.
  • Maintain equipment and machinery.
  • Fixing Augers.

Location:This full-time position will be located out of our yard location in Kansas City, MO.

Hours:Monday-Friday, 7AM-4PM.

Pay: $25-$30/hour

What You'll Bring

PREFERRED:

  • Work with hazardous tools, i.e., welding torch.
  • Work around moving equipment and constricted spaces.
  • Possess own basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge or Electrical Construction Equipment
  • Previous experience with Construction Equipment repair
  • Hardfacing experience.
  • SMAW, GMAW - vertical/overhead position welding proficiency.
  • Oxy/Acetylene torch proficiency
  • Machine tool experience – manual lathe/mill

REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid, Active Driver's License Required
