Job summary

Mead Lumber Company in Sheridan, WY, is seeking a yard loader to safely load materials, receive deliveries, stock and organize inventory, and maintain yard cleanliness. You will follow loading procedures, record returns, and assist customers throughout the day.

The role requires lifting 50+ lbs, standing 4–10 hours, and a valid driver's license; forklift experience is preferred. The company offers ESOP participation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk 4–10 hours daily.
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load/Unload customer orders accurately per paperwork/invoices.
• Organize and label/store materials per protocols.
• Safely operate equipment and follow yard procedures.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and organization.
• Record merchandise returns on credit memos and return to vendor.
• Assist customers with daily needs and respond professionally.
